Update: On 3rd June, the organisers at Val di Sole announced that the event would be cancelled, as no International sports events will be allowed in the region before 15th October.
On 15th May, the UCI announced a revised MTB World Cup Calendar. With 5 rounds for XC and 7 rounds for DH packed into an 8 week schedule, plus World Championships, it’s going to be hectic 2 months of non-stop racing!
Some venues will hold 2 rounds back to back on the same week, with one race on Friday and another race on Sunday. It will be a relentless test of endurance for the riders, staff and media. All the events are in Europe, so it’s going to a crazy 2 months of road tripping. Let’s hope it all goes to plan.
