Vaea Verbeeck is an incredible MTB racer and freerider. Just last year, she took the title of ‘Queen of Crankworx’, but you don’t get to be a pro MTB rider overnight. It took Vaea 10 years of hard work and commitment – from her first race in 2008, to finally getting a sponsorship deal in 2018 that allowed to ride and race full-time. In her own words:
It really is as simple as setting a goal and doing it. Everybody knows it, but sometimes we don’t commit to going for that goal that we’re dreaming about … I see some much potential of where I can grow, in that sense I feel extremely young and I have a lot to do.
